Sturdy but flexible nylon sticks are used, so theres no need of mylar reinforcements.
The new nylon sticks are not only more lightweight than the mylar, they also give a better profile and provides a better starting behavior of the kite. The Lava is fast, agile and has plenty of power. The spliced and sewed bridle together with the diagonal ribs are making the Lava very stable to fly.
